Shared customary codes and values

Hospitality is a key part of the morality of the Iceans. Travelling in Icea is easy, as anyone brave enough to ask a nearby farm for a meal and a place to sleep is unlikely to be turned away, as long as the traveller doesn't overstay their welcome.

Common Dress code

Due to the heat of Icea, light clothing (in both weight and color) is favored. Darker colors, due to their difficulty to create and maintain, as well as their lack of practicality, are a sign of nobility or intellectuals.

Funerary and Memorial customs

Bodies are laid to rest either in sprawling cemeteries or in family mausoleums. There is a week-long process of mourning, and incense and prayer is expected on the anniversary of death by the family and closest friends for at least five years (although if travel makes it impossible or the friend is not close to the deceased, 1-3 years may be considered enough).
