Auldewyrm Idioms

"Today we learn the speech ways of the scales," the old gheni said to his class of younglings. Half of them were human, and the others were cat folk like him.   "Which scales?" asked Ral-Uz-Chet, a young gheni constantly full of questions.   "Nisslings, Numis, and Dragons."   "Why?" Ral-Uz-Chet persisted.   "Because we must," the old teacher growled and began writing on the wall slate with his squeakiest chalk.
Auldewyrm is not only the language of the dragons but is the root, or mother language, to Nissling and Numis as well. In addition to this shared language, they share some interesting phrases.

Scaled folk are not the only ones to use Auldewyrm.   The Brethren have established an entire code based on ancient symbols as the written part and Auldewyrm as the spoken part.   This form of Auldewyrm is entirely innuendo with common, and often rather boring sounding sentences, meaning something else entirely.   Entire conversations could be discussing very important matters while those involved seem to be talking about the weather... in Auldewyrm.   One dragon has become very suspicious.

This was fun to create. I see you're drawn to the nefarious side of things... where nearly everything is for sale!
