More Hands, Less Work
General Summary
Necthan posted on the boards across Pandora in search of finding someone to keep his forge warm when away. Helping him in this vetting process was none other than Prim, Milo, and Walter. Necthan asked the group to to meet him at the forge outside of Silver City with any applicants who were interested.
Necthan had several people answer the call to his job posting. The first one to answer was a prideful dwarf named Ironbeard. He rattled on about how dwarven crafting was the best and offered to take Necthan on as an apprentice. However, since Necthan already had full ownership of his forge and was already a master smith, he declined. The next person to try and apply was a friendly, if not a little dull, werebear. This applicant had the strength needed but not the skill. Still Necthan considered hiring him.
The last person to apply for the job was actually a group of five kobolds dressed in a trench coat and wearing fake fur disguising themselves as a minotaur. While not entirely the brightest, they were the only ones who had read the actual board post and Necthan did need more help. He hired them on in exchange for information about the smith they had disguised themselves as. The person that the group would have to look for was a minotaur named Korvax. The kobolds shared that he was a traveling smith who had left on an adventure to an island in the sky.
With the necessary information in hand, the group set off to find an airship and was able to book passage to look for the island in the sky. After just a couple days of travel, the group discovered the island and landed next to a smaller personal airship. They came up to what appeared to be the entrance to a dungeon with no discernible way to open it. After some thinking and translating of ruins on the door, the group realized they needed to solve a riddle and speak a password. They cycled through different words and orders, and were finally able to get the door open.
The passage inside led to a room with another puzzle inside. This time, the group needed to solve a riddle above the doorway and put the correct gems with their corresponding slots in the four corners of the room. This riddle was much easier and the party was able to get through to the final room in little time. Finally, the group arrived to find Korvax who was sitting and contemplating the room. Necthan approached him and gave the offer of forge keeper to him which the minotaur considered. First though, he wanted to ask Necthan a few questions. Necthan was more than ready and was able to philosophize to the minotaur's liking and so after their conversation, Korvax agreed to join Necthan and become his cohort. With that, the group only had to help Korvax complete the final part of the dungeon which caused something inside the island to activate after who knows how many centuries of slumber.
