CALL TO THE RIGHTEOUS — PALADIN RECRUITMENT & COUNCIL

Asano, having met the Knights of Eternal Vigilance in Stag's Ballad, wished to recruit them for the upcoming battle. He called his allies, Azim and Tiff to help him in the recruitment of the paladins. After meeting together, the group traveled to the temporary encampment in Stag's Ballad.

There, the party met with the senior member of the order, Sir Konrad, who greeted them, having worked with Azim and Asano before, and Asano serving the same deity. Asano asked him to pick up the sword against the fight with the war with The Sovereignty. He explained that his group has been doing some disruption tactics, but they have been minor. Should Asano assist in getting helping recover some of the people who have gone missing, he would agree to join the fight in the war with his faction. Konrad explained that the people missing were hunting ghouls, and gave an estimated location to where they would be. During this time, Tiff was distracted with books.

Using magical traveling, the party was able to find an open tomb, surrounded by the bodies of vaporized ghouls. Seeing this as the trail of their missing paladins, they followed after. Entering into the crypt, the party stumbled head first into a fireball trap. Deciding to be more careful, they attempted to walk around looking for traps, but set off another one of chain lighting, before they ran into an ambush of a ghouls. Quickly dispatching the grouping of undead, they move further in. Coming across the surviving members of paladins, they notice their tongues had been cut off. Tiff was able to user them to safety, using a spell to speak telepathically. Taking charge, Asano moved towards the entry into the last part of the underground area, but a giant bell fell on his head, giving his head a ring. Shaking it off, they continued on, finding a stronger ghoulish individual, stating that he was defending his home. Undeterred by his words, Azim and Asano jumped on him, quickly beating him into submission, and defeating the undead creature.

Bringing the Paladins home, Konrad agreed to join in the war. He offered his own council as an advisor on the war efforts, and would assign his soldiers to the battlefield once they were packed up and ready to go. Having achieved their goals, the party returns to their home, reading themselves for the upcoming conflict.
