Boating's Fun, Act 2 - Part 1: It's All Coming Together Now

General Summary

With the worst of the storm at their backs, the crew wished to continue to sail onwards, though one of the people they'd picked up as temporary crewmates had other plans. The boy who'd been manning the wheel had been steering them north unbeknownst to the crew who'd been stuck under heavy cloud cover for days at that point without a compass of their own to guide them. Deciding to trust that the more seasoned members of their crew knew what they were doing, the party chose to continue north towards allegedly the nearest port.

Upon arriving and sailing out on the ship's boat to make contact with the locals, the party found at least in part it was all a ruse to mutiny. With the whole of the party off the ship, it raised anchor and began to sail away southwards without them, stranding them in this unknown land. The first thing to greet them was the low howls of a wolf, and soon they were confronted by two dire wolves. After noticing one was collared, the party held fast and kept their weapons readied but unmoving, even as the wolves began to excitedly run at the group. Soon their owner, Ulm, arrived after them, welcoming the party to Ulm's Outpost Here they were given shelter among the few huts that made up the outpost and Ulm assured the party he could procure supplies for them, but he'd have to travel without them. After being given a list of what the party needed, Ulm set out with one of his dire wolves, leaving the other to both protect and watch the party.
