A Tragic Accident with a Button, Again

Mademoiselle Hewitt’s Festival of Feats welcomed yet another batch of adventurers who enjoyed the feats rather immensely, according to the size of the prize pile they walked off with.   Amon-Thul and Roger paid their entry fee, signed the waiver, and stepped into the teleportation circle to begin their games. Accosted by seaweed leshys upon arrival on Hewitt's island, Amon-Thul quickly dispatched them with an acid splash. Hiding among the flowers (specifically of the non-invasive kind) that had overtaken the island hid an odd flashing light. This puzzled the adventurers for some time, but with their combined wit and a bit of luck (high DC checks), they managed to reveal passage to an underground cavern.   Down below, shambling zombies confronted them with a list of riddles. Quite some time was spent in thought over these but eventually the answers revealed themselves and the keys to the various locked doors that surrounded them.   The two moved through the remainder of the cavern, careful to avoid any traps. Amon-thul’s cohort, unfortunately, was not as wise or intelligent as his master and did manage to trigger a couple traps. But that’s nothing that a good spell can’t overcome. Before exiting the island, Amon-thul made sure to blast a fireball down into the zombie filled cavern because…ew, zombies.   Back at her tent in Trader’s Cusp, M. Hewitt seemed more than a little surprised to see the adventurer’s return, and in such good health, carrying their weight in gold. She thanked them for participating and shoo’d them out of her tent.
