A New Day

With the assistance of Tiff and Nightfall, Meako with a new draft of the constitution calls together his allies to discuss the changes. Recommending that he speak to each of the current councilors, Meako took the initiative to provide gifts and introduce the new laws to the people those on the current council, as new changes have to have a 2/3rds majority vote.

When presenting it to Eater of the Wind, she found it rather distasteful, and requested to be released of service after the war if it were to pass. Meako, with the assistance of the Rico, Tiff and Nightfall, mentioned the value they see in Eater of the Wind, and how they did not want her and the drake riders to leave. In exchange for the drake riders stay, Meako offered to have a new position created on the council, keeping her voice still valued in the collective decision making process.

Meako then next spoke with Tuslir, finding him terrorizing some people who were letting a campfire in the forest burn uncontrolled. After terrorizing some young adults, Meako approached and told him about the changes. After doing so, Tuslir confirmed he would get to continue his current job, but with less paperwork, and was happy to pledge his vote.

Bringing the council together, Meako attempted to pass the new constitution, however, Xuxgor, raised an issue. Finding out one of Nightfall's deep secrets, he revealed his knowledge of it to the council, and forced truth with a magical item, requesting one of the Nightfall sisters to abstain from the vote . Meako acknowledge the secret, and Nightfall agreed. Xuxgor then lamented that his voice would no longer be equal parts, as the country previously promised it would remain. Meako apologized, but that the needs of the country outweigh the promises made. After the vote, only Xuxgor and Tuslir voted against it. Xuxgor voicing his disappointment, before making his leave, having to secure the path forward for his clan. Rico, stepping out saying he would support the orc clan in their paths forward. Xuxgor thanks him before taking his leave.

Meako lastly brought up the conversation to bring Emancipation into the fold, wanting to absorb the vassal. However, Tuslir reminds Meako of the history of the lands, and that they are unlikely to willingly give up their boarders. Exasperated, Meako dismissed his council, thinking of new ways to claim lands for his empire.
