Vitarium

Vitarium is a complex crystalline substance that is able to carry life-force and sentience in electronic life. It is used in the construction of sentient androids of all varieties.

Artificially synthesized Vitarium was used in the first sentient androids by humans prior to their first expeditions to other planets. The material has been discovered in deposits throughout the explored galaxy, and has become a coveted ore, as its synthesis is costly and time consuming.
