The Cult of the Peresphone
This is the cult that is pulling the strings across the Untied States to try and reunite the Elder Thing underneath FL. This cult’s tendrils are across the US and even some of it is outside the US. While their origins are somewhat murky, this cult is made up of mother and fathers who feel somewhat attuned to the energy of stars screaming for the Elder Thing to be unearthed.
Structure
This cult is built much like a PTA where those who are the most passionate tend to be the ones with the most sway. There are no strict hierarchies that are outlined in their texts, so at the moment they are slightly scrambled. Those in charge also have to manage the inner workings while also preventing the government from being connected to them.
The one in charge tends to have the highest Cthulhu mythos skill while also mostly losing their sanity.
Culture
This cult believes that they are just being kind to the stars. To them, it feels like the starlight is yearning to unearth whatever is under Florida. The members feel like they are only being slightly unlawful, but mostly in the right because they are trying to help a parent and their child.
They feel like Peresphone is crying out and trying to be with her family again and they feel awful for her, even giving her the name Peresphone because her true name caused one father to become inconsolable for days.
They are completely obsessed with charting stars and some claim that the current charts are inaccurate.
Assets
The members tend use and borrow different items when they become necessary. The cult has several artifacts from around the world that they keep close.
History
Founded by Pedro Alves Santiago after he discovered a ancient book while constructing his Pennisulres Estate. There he claims that the stars whispered to him and told him how he must help them free their helpless child. Santiago felt all of that pain, longing, and fear as though it was his own children.
