Over the course of the last couple of decades, those living in Silver Dollar City became increasingly distrustful of the growing Enclave and any other outsiders. This applied to their descendants as well, if not even more so. Lacking definitive information about their families' origins and an increasingly insular culture, SDC's inhabitants by 2159 attributed the Wild West clothing and lifestyle to their direct ancestors. They had created a new culture based on returning to and maintaining tradition, both of American cowboys and of Evangelical Christianity. Due to the hostility seen outside their small community, the now-named Silver Dollars, in turn, became more hostile. Perhaps it is this hostility that allowed them to maintain their way of life, despite Enclave presence around them.
