Somniack
Somniack is a drug commonly found in the Ozark Wasteland. It is used as a sleep aid and tranquilizer, and capable of putting its user to sleep in a matter of minutes, despite any amounts of caffiene or performance-enhancing drugs that would normally keep them awake. Some users report that Somniack gives them more nightmares on average, and others say the drug leaves them groggy upon waking up, regardless of how long they consistently take it.
Some drug dealers/producers make and/or sell variants of Somniack. Silky Somniack users report less nightmares and fewer problems waking up (on account of less or no Daytripper, in favor of more Med-X), but is signficantly more expensive.
Regardless of the type of Somniack, it is still highly addictive.
Mechanics & Inner Workings
Somniack does not look dissimilar to Psycho or a Stimpack, in the sense that the primary material is a syringe. However, connected to the syringe is a pressure gauge and a system of tubes. These connect to a series of vials: an empty, "primary" vial (which the pressure gauge is connected to), a vial of Med-X, then liquid THC, and finally liquified Daytripper. These are kept seperate until it is ready to be used, as these ingredients tend to coagulate and clump together if mixed and left alone. When the user pushes on the syringe to half-way, all three liquids are first pushed through the tubes into the primary vial. The pressure within the vial allows the liquids to mix fully. From here, the syringe needle can be inserted intraveinously, and the injection can be completed by pushing the syringe all the way down.
