World Ember 2024 - Pledge

This World Ember, the first that I'm participating in despite creating this account two years ago, I pledge to write 10,000 words in Oxerune about the birth of the Young Gods. I will expand the history of my world and take a more zoomed out approach to the timeline. I will still develop events I find to be worthwhile such as the First Blood, Battle for the Center, and Battle of the Glade. However, I won't try to "fill" a long period of time with many events. I will have events that are key for my world history and will fill in any blanks as the need arises, rather than trying to force it.

I will aim higher, for the 25k and 50k badges, but if I don't make it that far it's no matter. My goal is to develop my world and have fun. The First Peoples, the Ancient Ones, the Undoing, the Young Gods. All will be available for development. The timeline will be on a vaster scale than it currently is. I believe in myself and in my writing. I will study extra hard for my finals so once they're out of the way I am free to focus my energy on my world. I can do this.

For Week 2 of Homework, I updated my world intro to be better written with input from the wonderful and amazing Strixxline. I also set up my world primer for the first time which I'm excited about. It's not perfect, but having it at all is very exciting. I'm already planning for the next big writing event where I'll write a manuscript detailing all the events of the Undoing. I'm going to focus on developing the Young Gods still, but I'm excited for my next big project.
