The Seloswyld
The Seloswyld is the birth place of the elves. It is said that this large beautiful forest is where the Ancient Sun and Ancient Moon danced and created the elves. Sculpted of the golden sun, clearest day, the pale moon, darkest night, and the best of both, the children of the Sun and Moon spent their early lives in a beautiful forest before spreading and settling in and around it.
Within the forest ancient dawnwoods, the Meadow of the Moondrinker, and the Sky's Mirror can be found, though only if you know where to look. While dawnwoods are now found throughout the forest and even the continent, the old growth groves are a closely guarded secret of the elves. The Meadow of the Moondrinker and the Sky's Mirror are guarded with just as much fervor if not more. These are some of the most sacred places for the sun, moon, and eventide elves. It is also believed to be where the Ancient Sun and Moon may still be sought out.
The Meadow of the Moondrinker
In the wake of the plagues brought about by the Undoing, moondrinker roses became critically important for the survival of the moon elves. Kandetreath discovered that these mystical flowers had the ability to cure The Burning Light that threatened to wipe out the moon elves. In the wake of her demise and subsequent ascension, the leaders of The Order of the Moon cultivated a meadow of moondrinker roses to ensure that should the plague ever return, they would be ready to protect their people. While the plague remains at bay however, the Meadow of the Moondrinker is a place of worship and the moondrinker roses within are an important part of rituals and rites.
The Sky's Mirror
A place where the winds never tread and the water is so still one may peer into the cosmos by looking down. The Sky's Mirror is an important holy site for the elves of Oxerune. Disrupting the stillness of the water is forbidden. On the rare occasion water must be collected from the Mirror, it is proper to carefully dig a small waterway to let water flow out and into the container then carefully stopper the flow. This is a difficult task so many lengths will be gone to to ensure there is no need. Water from the Mirror is said to have restorative properties and bless the drinker so cities often have someone peddling Mirror Water though it's almost never the real deal. Water from the Sky's Mirror may turn purified water into Mirror Water if the purified water is less than a third of the total water in a container.
