The Floating Islands of Fae Calora
Above a tiny nation is a mythical fairfolk city said to bring them luck and prosperity. For as long as anyone there can remember, a mysterious force has influenced their lives towards good. Only a select few who lead the tiny nation know the truth of their unlikely fortune. The fairfolk who live high above enjoy amusing themselves with the small nation that leaves them offerings. While most of them choose to be benevolent and help them in little ways, much of the strange, small mischiefs can be attributed to the fair ones. Their favorite mischiefs include letting chickens loose, switching crops (though always leaving the fresh crops somewhere safe for harvest later as any true harm would lead to less offerings), and hiding belongings around homes. The magical islands where this fairfolk city sits are known as the Floating Islands of Fae Calora.
Geography
The Floating Islands of Fae Calora are hidden in the forest of the jungle canopy. It is made up of several floating islands and the entire location is invisible except to fair folk and those blessed with their sight. Though the islands constantly shift and change, there are some consistencies in that the islands are just as forested as the lands below and the largest central island even has rolling hills. The fair ones have elaborately constructed homes that hang from trees and simple bridges connecting them though they're rarely used as the majority of faeries have wings or magic to let them float and fly amongst their cities.
Ecosystem
Being so immersed in fair folk magic, the islands constantly shift and change. Their positions shift, the hills and trees grow and shrink, and they're subjected to all kinds of strange weather phenomena. To the point that normal weather is considered to be unusual on the floating islands. Interestingly the land below the islands never experiences the weather that they do.
Climate
The Floating Islands of Fae Calora are generally a hot and humid environment with clear skies and the only shelter from the sun the shade of the trees. However, it's common for rain with magical effects to rain down part of the year so simple shield spells are often used to shelter from the rain.
