The Birth of the First Priest of Loboro
Summary
Heralded by the brightest moon ever seen and the cry of wolves, Delvin Trall's parents knew from the beginning that their son was destined for greatness. He was raised in the forest and suckled at the teat of Nature itself. Thus it surprised no one that he would defend his lupine brethren from the wrath of the cruel hunters. Trall's connection to nature would allow him to connect with the Lord of Wolves and become his first druidic priest.
Historical Basis
Shortly before the Undoing would be brought to a close by the Heroes of the World and the Young Deities, Delvin Trall was born to Alicia and Clayton Trall in 295 U. There was nothing particularly notable about his birth, and despite the stories told his childhood was ordinary. He grew up in a family of hunters, and while he held respect for the natural world it was not much more so than the others from his hometown. Truly up until he convinced his fellow hunters to leave offerings for the wolves to get them to leave their hunts alone rather than kill them, he had no connection to them. The myth seems to be a fabrication from some of the more frenetic followers of Loboro.
Spread
In spite of Trall's attempts to suppress the myth, and the fact that everyone who was involved in the story are still alive to say otherwise, the Birth of the First Priest of Loboro is a wildly popular tale that inspires more to come to the Loboran faith. Those part of the Pack of Loboro can recite the tale forwards and backwards, and those outside the faith have a passing familiarity with it.
In Art
For those in the Pack of Loboro, paintings, drawings, tapestries, and rugs are some popular mediums for displaying this myth, often in the form of a dark haired baby in a cradle looking up at a large full moon with two howling wolves on either side. Other popular iconography includes pendants of a wolf cub in a cradle and statuettes of varying complexity of a baby in a cradle and howling wolves surrounding them.
