Loboro's Curse

At the equinoxes, those afflicted with Loboro's Curse turn into werewolves for the duration of the night, sprouting thick fur all over their bodies and gaining sharp fangs. During this time their alignment shifts to chaotic neutral and they have no control over themselves. They cannot use magic or perform complex tasks like brewing alcohol.

Cause and Transmission

Loboro's Curse is contracted via the god himself placing the curse upon you. Rumor says that being bitten by a cursed individual will cause you to be cursed as well. Others say that if you sacrifice five wolves on a full moon with a knife of oak and silver you can obtain the curse as well. However, it is more likely that Loboro is enraged by the sacrifice of his sacred animal and instead is simply cursing them for their transgression, rather than because of the ritual as a whole.

Symptoms

Loboro's Curse will initially show itself in stronger cravings for meat, unexplainable urges to go wander the forest for a time, and bouts of unprovoked anger. The closer to an equinox it becomes, the more severe the symptoms become. The afflicted will crave more rare meat, they will disappear to wild places for hours or even days at a time, and they'll become increasingly hostile and irritable. In the week leading up to the equinox, curse-bearers will find themselves feeling stronger and their body hair becoming coarser.   On the eve of the equinox, the cursed will be compelled to go into wild places at dusk. When the moon begins to rise, they will begin to shift. Thick coarse fur in grey, brown, sometimes black, or rarely white will sprout all over their bodies. Their faces will begin to elongate into snouts, teeth sharpening into fangs, fluffy ears appearing on top of their heads. Finally, their bones will twist, crack, and reform, sprouting a tail from the base of their spine, legs and arms changing to suit bipedal or quadrupedal running.   When they awake in the morning after the equinox, the afflicted will be quiet exhausted and sore, but also more at peace than they have felt in many weeks. This is Loboro's mercy, and cruelty, that for the week after the equinox, they will feel as they did before they were cursed. Then the cycle will begin anew. Those that have been cursed for sometime will find themselves disconcerted and uncomfortable the week after the equinox, some find that they no longer come to their previous senses, instead merely being less angry.
