The Draconic History

The Beginning

In the beginning, three beings sought to create a world wherein their offspring, the Dragons, could live. These beings were Tiamat, Mistress of the Chromatic Dragons, Bahamut, Lord of the Metallic Dragons, and Kaltorius, Sovereign of the Gemstone Dragons. The three created the Material plane of Oxdara, from the mountain tops to the ocean trenches, they sculpted the world to be a paradise for the dragons.   The beings created the first four dragons of Oxdara, creatures that would be known as the Eternal Dragons. Badrik the White Storm, a Chromatic Dragon, ancestor to all Chromatic Dragons. Challos the First, ancestor to all Gemstone Dragons. And Yrranas the Lost and Rugheis the Champion, Metallic Dragon, ancestors to all Metallic Dragons. And over time more and more draconic creatures appeared on Oxdara; with the vast array of Dragons that appeared those first four, those Eternal Dragons formed an order to document and record the history of the Dragons of Oxdara. They compiled a compendium, titled the Ventractconian Tome, in Draconic meaning A Complete and Eternal Documentation of Dragonkind, a tome that over the course of Oxdaran history was thought lost, until it was rediscovered by Mia'rora Erelth, Champion of Ilmater, Mother to four baby dragons, and partner of Queen Mifeath, the Wintered Fury.   The dragons lived on Oxdara in peace, there were tensions between Tiamat, Bahamut, and Kaltorius, sibling rivalries powered by primordial strength, but beyond that Oxdara knew no strife. Over time animals and other creatures began to evolve and find their way to the plane, and eventually, a race of people found their way. Those people, the Tal, fleeing their own material plane, settled on Oxdara.

The Day the Tal Came

Tiamat, Bahamut, and Kaltorius met with these people and granted them asylum onto their plane. But unbeknownst to them all, with the Tal came other primordial entities. Entities known as Death, Bravery, Chaos, Life, Time, Sickness, these entities would be known later as the Old Gods, the Ancient Gods, the First Gods. The Tal knew not what they had brought with them, but slowly these entities took hold of some Dragons, and even hold of the Tal themselves. Driving them to kill the dragons, cause pain and suffering to a race that had accepted them.   Some Dragons began hoarding wealth and land, and in hoarding, those assets became targets for the Tal. Upon seeing what had happened to their world, Bahamut, Tiamat and Kaltorius called for their creations to flee to a pocket plane, where they could live and wait for the day when the people of Oxdara would be able to accept them again. Bahamut and Tiamat remained in Oxdara in some way, to overwatch the plane, and keep an eye on those Dragons who did not wish to leave. Kaltorius took to the pocket plane to watch over those who left.

The Return of the Dragons

Eventually, the day came when Kaltorius and the dragons that left, returned.   One day the entirety of Oxdara was shaken, from Erendoc to Rularia to Venka, earthquakes pulled every person outside, and when they looked to the sky, they saw two huge Dragons. Tiamat and Bahamut made their presence known to all of Oxdara. The two Dragon Gods shielded the plane under their wings, sending the plane into darkness, and when they removed their wings. A new moon was present in the sky. A deep red moon surrounded in rings made of gemstones that glitter at night, and besides the moon, another Dragon, like Tiamat, like Bahamut, Kaltorius had returned to Oxdara, and their celestial embodiment joined Bahamut's, the moon Hola, and Tiamats, the Sun, in the sky.   Oxdara entered into a new timeline, a new universal era, where the three continents, that had slowly started to become connected via culture exchanges, and the creation of the way lines. This era saw many different kinds of Dragons reappearing in Oxdara again, Gemstone Dragons, those of Amethyst, Ruby, Saphire, Metallic Dragons, those of Tin, Zinc, Steel, and more unique kinds.
