Friadr Sifsdottir

Friadr is very tall compared to the humans she is surrounded by, but for a Valkyrie is considered average height. She is muscular and toned, with detailed intricated tattoos on both of her upperarms extending across her chest and collar bone and down the side of her ribcage; the tattoo's are a mixture of knots and motifies of hawks. Her lower back has a tattoo of a bear motif.   Her facial features are sharp, with thin lips and a slightly crooked, upwards nose. Her eyes are heterochromatic, with her left being blue like her mothers and her right being a golden - The Gods and other Valkyries believed this is because she was touched by Math Mathonwy, and is where her middle name comes from. Her hair is braided into six tight strands, falling to her mid back.   Her armour she wears now is mortal made, keeping her golden Valkyrie armour, though refusing to wear it. She wears a engraved leather armour, with a few plates bolstering her shoulders, upper arms and greaves, and full metal gauntlets and a breastplate. Her armour shares the motifi's of her tattoos, with Hawks and Bears, as well as the symbol of Clan Eternity emblazoned on her right shoulder plate and gauntlets.   When she wishes she can summon her wings to sprout out from her back, her left wing glowing with golden feathers, her right wing broken and shrouded in a greenish energy. When her wings are summoned she gains a broken spectral helmet over her head, once a full helmet, now it appears cracked, with the right side hissing with the same green energy of her wing.

Friadr is believed to be touched by Math Mathonwy, the Ascendant God's God of Magic. This belief came from her heterochromatic eyes, one being the blue of her mother, and the other gold, a signifier of a being touched by Math.

As a Valkyrie, even a former one, Friadr is trained with every weapon a warrior could think to use, and has a connection to the Bifrost, the Hillara understanding of The Flow of Magic, allowing her to create rainbow fire to coat her weapons and armour. She can summon her weapon to her hand and summon her wings to appear, creating a helmet of radiant and spectral energy.

Her being touched by Math has also given her a slight telekinetic and telepathic ability, as well as some innate and low level spellcasting, though if she practiced that side of her abilities as much as she does her martial prowess, she could be one of the strongest spellcasters in Yggsdrasil.

The daughter of Sif - Goddess of War and an unknown Venkan-Ori warrior, Friadr grew up in the celestial plane of Yggdrasil. Though only half celestial her mother wouldn't let anyone say otherwise, Friadr grew up alongside Gods and the warrior slain, finding an immense intrest in not only fighting, but in the Human, mortal half of her bloodline. As a celestial with strong fighting will, ending up as a Valkyrie was inevitable; though no one could have forseen what would befall her on her first outting as a Valkyrie.   After years spent training with every weapon she could get her hands on, Friadr was tasked with escorting a Cleric of Odin on the material plane; a rare honour for the Cleric. Friadr stood before him, started their journey and struck up a friendship with the Cleric, a man named Van Sigsunson, the pair bonding over sharing stories of eachothers homes, Friadr hungry to learn as much about the Human's she shared kinship with, and Van ever devout wanting to know everything about Yggdrasil. Nearing the end of thier time togther, Van insisted the pair share a drink to celebrate, a grave mistake. The pair found a road side inn and tavern, shared a meal, drank, laughed, sung and just as the pair retired for the evening, 5 large warriors entered, tore the place apart and killed everyone inside, all but the Valkyrie who ended them.    Surrounded by the dead civilians, and her new friend in her arms exhaling his last breath, more Valkyrie's appeared, taking the souls of the dead to Valhalla or other areas of Yggdrasil. Including the attackers who caused all this. Friadr wouldn't have it, tried fighting her sisters, pleaded with them to take thier souls to Hel's gate instead. But her pleas fell onto deaf ears, her fighting stopped and her body wounded, and in that moment, she cursed them. She renoucned her attachment as a Valkyire, and said if they take those souls back, she would never return to Yggdrasil again. Collapsing to the ground, bleeding as her sisters left again leaving her with her mortal kin.   How long passed with Friadr laying unconcious she couldn't tell, only that when she awoke she was in a strange house. Summoning her spear both to aid her walking and defend herself against whatever had moved her, she stumbled through the place, collapsing through the door to the bedroom she awoke in. Looking up and seeing the golden, amber eyes of Ceneri Bjorgdottir looking down on her. The mortal explained that she had found the former Valkyrie dying in that tavern, and with the aid of her brother Ulf Bjorgson, brought her back to their home of Osomi. Ceneri would help the Valkyrie back to health, the pair growing closer in friendship, increased once Friadr was able to fight again, the two shieldmaidens sparring and training for hours at a time.   Over the year since she was found by the Bjorgkin, Friadr became an important part of their Clan and family. She became the second in command of Clan Eternity's armies, and personal protector to Ceneri.

The concept of sexuality for Friadr is strange, her Celestial blood and upbringing running strong, before she came to the material plane she had no concept of being gay or queer, though after time on the plane would call herself Pansexual.   Her early months on the plane she had relationships with many of the warriors she found herself among in Osomi, though none of them long lived or forming deeper connections, and each time she would come back to Ceneri, the one person she felt safe with. Safety turned into a crush, turned into feelings, turned into hiding away from her friend, not knowing that Ceneri was feeling the same way for months. The pair eventually admitted those feelings for eachother during a liberation of a slave camp gone awry; the pair had been fed poor intel leading to them being captured by Haren Thorison's men. Bound and placed in cells next to eachother, certain they would be executed shortly the pair came clean to eachother, energising their desire to escape, and escape they did. Killing the guards holding them as they were brought out to be executed, Friadr revealing her wings for the first time since renouncing the Valkyries, one a glowing wing of golden feathers, the other broken and shrouded in a greenish, spectral energy.   After escaping and finding a moment to breath, Ceneri pulled Friadr into a long embrace, kissing the Valkyrie as they sat around their fire.

Friadr has a celestial hawk, given to her and bonded with her when she became a Valkyrie; it is said that all the celestial hawks of the Valkyries are children of Veðrfölnir, the pale white hawk that nests in the top of Yggdrasils branches. Her hawk, whom she named Ljós Bál, or Pale Blaze in common, stayed by her side after she renounced being a Valkyrie and remains at her side even now.
