Gnome
Generally native to -dale, you can also find quite a few gnomes in Berniton, because they run the not insignificant real estate business.
Gnomes are notoriously peculiar. They are usually accountants, realtors and tax men, or other professions that require detailed knowledge of money and the associated legal matters. High-status gnomes wear purple.
Unlike dwarves, they don't grow beards. It's something akin to acne, actually, only showing up in times of stress.
