Bloodline Theft

Becoming a vampire through illegitimate means is one of the greatest taboos of vampire society. This is typically done by simply injuring a vampire and licking the weapon, but methods such as coercion also qualify. This is viewed at best as the theft of immortality by the unworthy. But if it is done to a bloodline of any standing, it is a dishonor to the bloodline to have such an unworthy member. This member would have access to not only the physical and mystical characteristics of that bloodline, but also any allies or servants of that bloodline. For this reason, bloodline theft is a crime worthy only of death. If one is found guilty of bloodline theft, they are hunted down relentlessly.
