Biyaagi
Free stunts: fast digging, vibration sense, expert trapper, tight squeeze
Aspects: moleman, extra small, extra strong bones
Troubles: Agoraphobia (fear of open spaces)
Biyaagi are extremely small Vulkod, averaging around 2-3 feet tall. They have large hands and feet, with long, claw-like teeth growing between their knuckles over the fingers, and short limbs. Their skin fits very loosely over their body, resulting in a very shriveled appearance, as if they've been deflated. These vampires specialize in burrowing, and have a phobia of open spaces. Their tunnel systems are often massive, and have trap pits for capturing prey. At the surface of these pits is some bait to lure humans, typically money. Some consider them pests, since they disregard property lines, and will eat anything that falls in their pits, including other Vampires.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Biyaagi are extremely small Vulkod, generally around 2-3 feet tall. Their loose skin and oddly built shoulders allow them to squeeze into any space they can fit their head, as well as turn on somebody who's grabbed them on any part of their body. Their rather thick and dense skeleton is also near impervious to damage; combine these two factors and they become surprisingly good in a fight. Their huge hands and feet with enamel-coated, claw-like projections between the knuckles grant them incredible digging capability; they can dig about as fast as most people walk.
Growth Rate & Stages
As a Biyaagi shrinks from its original Human size, it's bones condense, becoming denser and thicker.
Ecology and Habitats
Biyaagi enjoy areas with lots of soil that holds itself up well, with few concrete-lined, man-made tunnels. Waterways are effective barriers for biyaagi; they have to keep well away from them to keep their tunnels from being flooded. All of these factors make them most common in the great plains area.
Additional Information
Social Structure
Biyaagi are communal, with as many as 20 living in the same tunnel system. Their habits are poorly known, but they don't seem to have social hierarchies. Some interact with other vampires, and may be contracted to dig spaces for them.
Perception and Sensory Capabilities
Biyaagi have rather poor eyesight for vampires, but excellent hearing and smell, as well as a unique vibration sense that lets them detect anything that moves. More solid surfaces provide better information than shifty surfaces like sand.
Genetic Ancestor(s)
