AASM
The American Association of Science and Magic was founded by President Harry S. Truman alongside the NSA. It is a military organization dedicated to the scientific study of occult creatures and objects in order to advance military technology and strategy against both mundane and supernatural threats.
Structure
This is a military organization, so all the scientists in it have military ranks.
Culture
Knowledge is power. Knowledge of the supernatural is the highest power there is, and the AASM will gain that knowledge and see to its effective use.

AASM makes weapons for the US military. What those weapons are is kept pretty hush-hush, but there are rumors of bioweapons that cause madness, bullets that ignore armor, and mind-controlling beams. Which rumors are true and which are false are impossible to tell; they deliberately spread rumors and counter-rumors to keep people from knowing what they really have.
