Vampires

  While they may be few in number, this world is dominated by the monsters that breathing men would kill. They used to not exist. Then they were fake, a lie produced by the Fae. And then our fears made them real, so now the world will never be the same. A lie turned truth, the wretched rulers of the night.
  They have weaknesses, thank the Fae for that. Because weaknesses give their stories strength, and because the Fae needed a way to control their thralls. So now that the story has become real, at least they can still bleed. And all it took us was millions of deaths.
  It seems this breed of vampire is based on Dracula, albeit with some modern tweaks. This left them with exploitable weaknesses, both in general and universal.
