Húnayána Mëoihuinë

Húnayána Mëoihuinë, or the "Cursed Temple of the Cat of Deep Shadow," stands as a chilling testament to the horrors of the past. This ruined temple, dedicated to Ryheia, the evil goddess of cats, deception, and trickery, is located on the western side of the channel that connects Nendë Telpingwë and Nendëlúlë. Across the channel, one can see the crumbling remains of its twin, the temple dedicated to her brother, Inas. Both temples were destroyed during the devastating Chain Breaker War.   The temple complex once boasted a grand open courtyard, now overgrown with weeds and littered with fallen stones. A shallow pool, once filled with clear water, now lies stagnant, its surface a murky green. The temple walls are adorned with faded murals, depicting scenes of wealth and tribute, with servants bringing offerings to the goddess. Many of these murals are obscured by vines and moss, their vibrant colors long since faded. A large building, now reduced to a skeletal framework, once housed the priests and servants of Ryheia. Rumors persist of hidden dungeons beneath the temple, where untold horrors may have taken place. The fate of Ryheia's priests remains a mystery. No records exist of their fate, though some believe they escaped through secret tunnels, fleeing into the surrounding wilderness.   Húnayána Mëoihuinë is a place of dread and superstition. Few dare to venture near the ruins, for those who do often disappear without a trace. Those who have returned speak of a chilling presence, a sense of being watched, and unsettling sounds that seem to emanate from the depths of the ruins. The temple, once a symbol of dark power, now stands as a chilling reminder of the horrors of the past, its presence casting a long shadow over the surrounding landscape.
