Dwarf

Dwarves in this world are a hardy and resilient species with a deep affinity for stone and metal. They are known for their ability to carve cities and strongholds into mountainsides and under the earth, creating intricate networks of tunnels and chambers. Their dwellings are often filled with the scent of iron and the sound of hammers striking metal.   Dwarves are physically strong and resilient, with a life span of about 350 years. They are considered young until they reach the age of 50, and they continue to grow and mature well into their adulthood. Their bodies are squat and sturdy, often adorned with beards and mustaches. They are known for their toughness and their ability to endure harsh conditions.   The history of the dwarves is intertwined with the history of the world itself. The First Dwarves arrived in the world with Inas and Ryheia more than 5000 years ago, but very few records of that time have survived. Much of their history has been lost, leaving many questions unanswered about their origins and their early experiences.   Dwarves have a rich culture, filled with legends and stories. Their oldest legends tell of conflicts with the monsters of mountaintops and the Underdark. Inspired by these tales, much of their music is about valorous deeds—especially of the little overcoming the mighty. Dwarves are known for their love of tradition and their strong sense of community. They value loyalty, honor, and the pursuit of excellence.   An interesting aspect of dwarven history is their unknown origins. They do not know what world they came from, only that they were tricked into serving the Dragon and Great Cats until the Velorians arrived and freed them. This mystery has fueled speculation and curiosity among dwarven scholars, as they seek to uncover their true heritage.
