The book of Vestal
This book is a prison.
A prison for monstrosities. Not only does this book hold real abominations it also tells the origin and history of each one held inside. To anyone, this book may look like the biggest Bestiary you'll ever see, but of course you only need to read the first page to know the book actually imprisons all the creatures written on the thousands of pages in writing. These creatures once traveled these plains and wreaked havoc in all the realms. Until one day a dark magic user, known by the name Vestal, sacrificed himself to trap the worst of the worst with him in it. Nobody knows how it was done, only that he is still traveling the pages of this book, writing the names and creatures to be trapped alongside him. How he is still alive in this book is unknown. Sometimes if you look long enough you can see him appear on the page like a mirror ball.
Not only can you see vestal, you can see the eyes of the creatures follow you as you skim the pages.
This book may not sound like the most powerful weapon nobody would dare use but what if someone wanted to get something out. You'd think you could just rip out a page and burn it but no. You can not let only one thing out, if you want one, you get all, that is the price. You must destroy the book to ashes!
Most would say you wouldn't want to destroy the book unless you were also evil and didn't care about your life, but what about those who accidentally get trapped? The only person who can trap others in the book is Vestal, but a simple drop of blood can pull you in quicker than lightning.
Not many have access to this book for good measure, only the trusted, and those who wish to sweep their eyes across the pages must have gloved hands.
