Stoneshock Giant

These primal giants were born of a union between a fire giant and a stone giant, and bring together the temper of one parent with the disdain of the outside world from the other. The skin of a stoneshock giant is grey and thick as stone, giving them incredible durability, but the currants of molten fire can also be seen just below the surface, running through their veins.   Molten Anger Stoneshock giants spend most of their lives hiding deep inside of mountain strongholds, festering with anger against the outside world, and burning with the same hatred of mortal civilizations that fills most giant-kin. Unusually for their kind however, stoneshock giants are content to remain inside their stone holds, believing their long lifespans and longer memory will allow them to outlast mortals, and rise to take the world back once they have gone extinct. However, while the patience earned from their stone giant ancestors is great, the anger of the fire giant blood in them is also powerful. On occasion, a stoneshock giant may grow tired of waiting for their moment to come, and work to hasten along what they see as mortal kind's inevitable downfall. Bursting from their mountain homes in a flurry of rocks, a stoneshock giant unfused with temper of their fire giant ancestors is distinguishable by the bright glow of their eyes, mouth, and veins; the anger in them driving them to greater strength, and greater destruction. Fueled by their hatred and frustration, fighting a rampaging stoneshcok giant brings them ever closer to a tipping point. At this moment, they lose all semblance of control, and become little more than rampaging beasts. It is in the throes of this magmatic passion that they are most easily defeated, for while their anger nearly doubles their strength, it also clouds their thoughts and makes them poor warriors.
