Sisters of Stone Death

Originally five in number, these gorgon sisters are most famous for their usurpation of of the parun and original guild-master of the of the Golgari Swarm, the necromancer Svogthir. Working together under the influence of Szadek, leader of House Dimir, the Sisters of Stone Death were able to imprison Svogthir beneath the Undercity, at the cost of two of their number.   Three Turns to One Soon after becoming the leaders of the Golgari, the three remaining Sisters- Lexya, Lydya, and Ludmilla - were overthrown themselves by Savra, sister of the Golgari's future leader, Jarad, with the aid of Svogthir. In the ensuing battle, two more Sisters were killed, leaving only Ludmilla. Spared by Svogthir, while leading an attack on the Boros Legion ordered by Savra, Ludmilla was defeated by the angel Feather, and once again spared under the promise that she would retreat to the deepest reaches of the Undercity. She has not been seen or heard from since.
