Shipwreck Singer
The unholy offspring of a siren and a harpy, shipwreck singers are both an unusual and terrifying phenomenon. Coming from the union of a fey and a mortal monster, shipwreck singers hold an unusual blend of qualities from both parents. With a harpy's enrapturing voice and a siren's enticing beauty and agonizing touch, these fey hold a great deal of power in their hands. Unfortunately, shipwreck singers tend to take after their mortal parent in terms of moral guidance, and nothing seems to give them greater pleasure than luring innocent ships to their doom.
Death at Sea like harpies, shipwreck singers are capable of a rudimentary form of flight, and enjoy using their magical voices to trick ships into breaking against rocky shores and jutting reefs. After a ship has broken and begins to sink, and its sailors take to the sea for safety, the shipwreck singer's real fun begins. At this point the fey uses its natural speed in the water to track down lone sailors trying to swim to shore. Once its found a victim, the singer uses its paralyzing touch to freeze them in place, and watch as they struggle uselessly to pull themselves above the waves.
