In Theros, there are dozens of reasons to devote oneself to a particular god, most of them dealing with power and respect. But while Mogis, the god of slaughter, has some of the most fervent worshippers in all of Theros, the majority of them are pulled from the ranks of minotaur's. These savage creatures have little concept of power beyond physical strength, and so Mogis often only rewards those who prove themselves the superior in combat, and gifts them with even more raw strength. However, minotaur's with the capacity to think beyond the fury of battle do exists, and Mogis always take great interested in these creatures. Assuming they offer him the proper devotion, Mogis grants them something far more powerful that a swift axe or sharpened horns. For them he offers the power to cast spells, to summon fire and brimstone, and to lead others in Mogis's name.
