Pyxis of Pandemonium

These cylindrical vessels are usually crafted from simple materials, such as stone, wood, or clay, and decorated with a mix of magical runes, artistic patterns, and drawings of famous stories and histories. The runes and patterns on these vessels transform them, allowing them to hold pure magical energy for an indefinite period of time. Whenever a creature that you can see within 120 feet of you casts a spell, you can use your reaction to open the pyxis and capture the spell being cast. When you successfully capture a spell, the spell fails and has no effect, and you record the spell captured and the level it was cast at. The pyxis can hold any number of spells whose total spell level is equal to or less than seven. When you attempt to capture a spell, if it would put the total level of captured spells into the pyxis above seven, you fail to capture it and the spell is cast as normal. As an action, while holding the pyxis, you can open the lid of the jar, unleashing all of the spells captured in this way. When a spell is unleashed, it is cast at the same level it was cast at when captured. You choose the target for any spell unleashed by the pyxis, as well as any other choices made when casting that spell. Whenever you unleash any number of spells from the pyxis, roll a d8. If the result is equal to or below the total level of spells unleashed this way, the pyxis is destroyed after unleashing the spells.
