Precognition Field
You carefully line up the crystal lenses so that they are exactly opposite each other, with yourself in the middle. As you cast the spell, a cloud of swirling dust filled with twinkling motes of light begins to appear around you, eventually coalescing into a thick gas. This gas remains for the duration of the spell, floating in the air between the two lenses without moving or dissipating, flashing with sparks of light and glimpses of movement. For every 10 minutes that you spend studying the gas and the movements within, you can ask the GM one question about the future and make a DC 20 Intelligence (Investigation) or Wisdom (Insight) check. On a success, the GM answers the question to the best of their abilities with a short phrase, 25 words or less. The question must be related to events that will occur in the next 24 hours after the casting of this spell, and events for which you will be present for. For instance, you may ask the chances of success for a particular course of action, whether or not a specific companion might betray the others, or whether a specific event will occur. You could not ask whether you will successfully arrive at a destination further than 24 hours away, or what might happen in a specific location that you could not reasonably get to in the allotted time. After receiving an answer to a question that you have asked, you can immediately expend a spell slot of 3rd level or higher to receive further information about the answer, another short phrase of 25 words or less. You must expend the spell slot immediately after receiving the answer; you can not spend 10 minutes and ask another question, then attempt to receive further information about a previous question unless you spend 10 minutes to ask the question again.
