Polis Crusher
Large even for a cyclops, the polis crusher is an aptly named terror- a giant of such size and weight that it can trample buildings underfoot, turning wood to splinters and stone into rubble. Even worse, these monstrous foes seem to have an inborn hatred for civilization, scoffing at the act of coming together for mutual aid and protection. To them, solitude is a sign of strength, and solidarity is one of weakness.
Breakers of the Code The polis crushers' hatred of mutual gatherings is not reserved for humanoids but extends even to their own kind. Most of the Therosian giants have an unspoken code, created centuries ago during the giants' birth. Breaking this code is a death centuries ago during the giants, as word of their treachery spreads to others of their kind.
Polis crushers rarely care for these consequences, believing that even among giant-kin, might is what makes right. To see giants fraternizing with each other makes a polish crusher's blood boil just as much as the sight of a human town, and if they believe they could get away with it, a polis crusher might attack such a gathering just for the sake of sowing chaos.
A Dying Breed Because of their views on working together, polis crushes are a thankfully rare sight. Most rarely live long, brought low by their own folly in attacking other giants, or settlements whose defenses prove too powerful for them. Polis crushers that aim to have a long and faithful life tend to retreat to Theros's more unoccupied reaches, such as the forests of the Nessin Wilds, or the badlands of Phoberos.
