As you cast this spell, you touch the tip of the viper’s fang to a willing target. The fang begins to slowly leech the life from the creature, and transfers it to you. The target loses a number of hit points equal to 3d10 + your spellcasting modifier, and you regain an equal number of hit points.
At Higher Levels When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, the number of hit points transferred increases by 1d10 for each slot level above 2nd.
