Navigator’s Compass

This small device is made from a combination of steel and brass, with a glass circle in the center. While holding the navigator’s compass, you can speak the command word to activate the item, causing the glass circle to activate and display a black and white map of the surrounding area within 10 miles of your location, which is marked by a dot at the center of the map, as well as arrows which indicate the four cardinal directions.   While the compass is activated, you can use your action to speak the name of any location out loud. When you do, the map on the compass indicates the direction to the chosen location, as well as how long it will take to reach the named location at your current rate of travel. The chosen location must be on the same plane of existence. If it is not, or if the named location no longer exists, the compass does nothing.
