Moratorium Stone

This stone sphere sits comfortably in the palm of your hand, and is carved with dozens of intricate grooves. You can use your reaction when you are affected by a spell to activate the stone’s magic, imprinting the spell onto the stone. Doing so causes the grooves in the stone to twist and warp, into a pattern unique to the spell imprinted upon it. After doing so, the stone can’t be used in this way again for 24 hours. While the spell remains imprinted on the stone, any creature within 120 feet of the stone that attempts to cast that spell must succeed on a spellcasting ability check, with a DC equal to 10 + the spell’s level, or else the spell fails and has no effect, and the spell slot used is wasted.
