Leonin Snarecaster
Despite the human belief that the leonin of Theros are aggressive, territorial marauders, most clans actually try to maintain a safe distance between themselves and outsiders. They would prefer to see themselves left alone, acting only when they feel a threat has encroached too close to their homes. To aid themselves in this quiet defense, the leonin have become masters of guerilla warfare, and hit-and-run tactics that excel at disabling as well as killing.
One example of this are the snarecasters, leonin warriors who have worked to combine the tactics of weighted nets and shortbows. These tactics enable them to trap foes up close and fire arrows from afar while removing the fear of retribution. The favored tactic of the snarecasters is for one of their numbers to sneak up on a foe, restrain them with a net, and then have others threaten them with bows. If the enemy refuses to back down, even once trapped and threatened, only then do the snarecastesr shoot to kill.
