Jeweled Bird

A lifesize, magically animated bird, crafted from blown glass and shiny, but cheap, jewels. As an action while holding the bird, you may choose one creature within 60 feet of yourself. You speak the command word, and roll 1d20. On a result of 15 or higher, the bird disappears, and in your hands one item worn or carried by the target appears in your hand instead. The bird itself instead appears in the possession of the target, taking the place of whatever item has disappeared. The bird also takes the shape of whatever has disappeared, but is clearly crafted from blown glass and cheap jewels, with the head and face of a bird somewhere upon it. The chosen item may be anything the target is carrying, wearing, or is contained within anything the character is carrying. This means the item may be something simple, like a coin purse or a bedroll, or something complex, such as the target’s weapon, a piece of clothing, a worn ring, or the target’s entire backpack. Once the bird has successfully been used in this way, the magic fades, and the bird becomes unusable.
