Homicidal Brute
Without the daily restrictions of society, the dark hearts of human beings would be free to roam, impinging their wants and desires on the freedom of others. Society then, it should be said, serves a powerful function. Without it, the people of Innistrad would be little better than the werewolves, vampires, and undead that like in wait just beyond the threshold. But when those restrictions are removed, the desire to follow them suppressed, in onl one person of many, calamity ensues.
Vice Unleashed The works of Dr. Jekyll, like other alchemcial tinctures, provide for an increase in the constitution and hardiness of those who ingest them. Unlike others, with this prodigious strength comes a loosening of inhibitions, and through it an outward transformation to reflect the unleashing of inward of desires. With a new face to mask their identity, and no way to limit their wants, a scholar that partakes of Jekyll's potion often finds themselves committing certain acts; ones that they would hardly dare whisper of to their closest confidants.
Unquenchable Desires The stories of Dr. Jekyll often includes a reference to another man, Mr. Hyde, said to be Jekyll's alter ego. Through Hyde, Jekyll commits misdeeds, only to slowly find himself losing control of his other half. Such stories, old as they are, were through to be apocryphal, a warning from the Church on the dangers of rouge alchemy. But with the rediscovery of Jekyll's formulae, many innocent scholars have found that, to their dismay, the story may have less control they have over their other side, leading to great tragedy. Without any morality to restrict their actions, even the slightest offense can drive their brutish alter egos to a frenzied madness, often ending in gruesome tragedy.
