Gonti’s Aether Heart

A intricately crafted metal chest piece, with small attachments that allow it to be fitted directly to the skin over the heart. This was said to have once belonged to a legendary criminal rogue, who used it to sustain their life and enjoy the illicit riches they’d accumulated during their lifetime. The center of the chest piece is a complicated tangle of gears and springs, glowing neon-blue with magical energy. This item has one charge. Whenever yourself or a creature within 10 feet of you expends a charge from a magical item, the aether heart gains an additional charge. You can use a bonus action on your turn to expend eight charges from the aether heart. After doing so, at the end of this turn, you take an additional turn immediately after. The aether heart can only be used in this way once per long rest. The aether heart resets to one charge each day at dawn.
