Dream Twist

Your voice is a low hum as you whisper words of magic into the ear of a sleeping creature in range. The target must make a Wisdom saving throw, which it can not choose to fail. On a failed save, the target begins to suffer from vivid but unsettling dreams, whose basic content is determined by you through the phrases and suggestions you whisper into their ear. If you continue this whispering for the duration of the spell, the target does not gain any benefits from their sleep, and automatically suffers from one level of exhaustion when they awake.   Flashback If you cast this spell on a creature that has already been subject to the spell’s effect in the past 24 hours, you can instead choose to cast it as a Flashback spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher. If you do, instead of the spell’s normal effects, the target is prevented from gaining the benefits of a long rest at any point within 24 hours of the spell’s casting.
