Danitha Capashen, Paragon
Prior to the accomplishments which led to Gerrard Capashen’s rise as Benalia’s greatest hero, House Capashen had been an accomplished house of fighters and warriors, but no more so than any other of the Benalish noble houses, and were better known for their mediocrity, if anything. But after the conclusion of a radical eugenics experiment performed by a powerful mage, House Capashen would rise to become on of the shining stars of Benalia, with several historic members well-known for their staunch defense of the country. This tradition continues today with Danitha Capashen, a member of the House who strives to emulate the actions and morals of her great ancestor Gerrard.
Life Among Angels When younger, Danitha Capashen spent much of her time with her father Aron, the head of House Capashen. Together with him, Danitha would frequently visit the floating cathedrals which hang above the capital city of New Benalia, marveling at both their architecture, and the residents within. Each time Danitha laid her eyes on the angels which greeted her, she felt her breath taken away. The first time Danitha saw one of the battle angels of the Church of Serra in combat, she knew what she wanted to be when she grew older.
Defender of Benalia Once she was old enough to hold a sword, Aron Capashen had no problem allowing his daughter to learn to fight. Proud as he was that she would become a warrior, he had no way to know that she would eventually sit among the best of the Benalish. Danitha is still young, capable of further growth and potential, but the skill she already holds with a blade is remarkable, making her the focus of intense envy and adoration. Danitha is careful with the respect she is given, seeing it as a source of pride and strength in her efforts to protect Benalia, a homeland which she loves dearly, from any harm that would come to it.
Master of the Blade Danitha’s strength is somewhat limited by her age, but she more than makes up for this with battlefield strategy. In a fight, Danitha’s movements are fluid and clear, and her reaction time is razor sharp. Her confidence and focus in battle lets her keep the upper-hand on any opponent she faces, making it difficult to strike without her striking back twice as hard. In honor of her achievements, and in recognition of her constant efforts, Danitha was gifted armor and a sword by the angels of the Church of Serra, for her exclusive use. These allow her to strike harder, raining heavenly fury with her blows, as well as move more quickly. Most incredibly, contact with the celestial armaments brought forth Danitha’s own latent magic, giving her the ability to suffuse the air with powerful healing magic, which enhances the effect that other beneficial magic has on her allies. This magic manifests itself as a pair of angelic wings, giving rise to interesting questions from the Serran angels, and lending Danitha further reverence from her comrades.
