You may cast this spell when an ally within range cast a spell. Taking the silver dagger to your skin, you use the energy within your veins to empower the spells of your allies. When you cast this spell, you target an ally within range, causing their spell to act as if it were cast using a spell slot of one level higher. When you do so, you must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 10d12 necrotic damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success.
