Caligo Skin Witch/Caligo Skin Walker
Caligo Skin Witch
When the Cabal is in need of information that an individual refuses to share, they do not hesitate to resort to torture to find what they want. Cabal paladins are specially trained in techniques meant to pry secrets from tight lips, even by removing those same lips if necessary, and every cabal infiltrator knows a few methods to learning hidden information when necessary. But occasionally, when a prisoner refuses to share what they know, the Cabal may not have an interest in leaving that prisoner alive. Without this protection, the Cabal is happy to turn to the work of the Caligo skin-witches, whose unique necromancy magic allows them to animate faces that they’ve carefully removed from corpses. After performing a special ritual to animate the face, a skin-witch is able to ask the face any questions about its life and the knowledge it had before death, getting answers about what the Cabal is seeking. Once the Cabal has its information, the skin-witch often keeps the removed face as a grisly trophy, using the magic mouth spell to ensure it sings the praises of the demon lord Belzenlok as people walk by.

Caligo Skin Walker
On occasion, the Cabal may need infiltrator at higher levels of society, in positions of power which can be used to further weaken a nation’s resistance to the Cabal over time. Normally the Cabal would wait for their sleeper agents to reach such a level on their own, but when the process needs to be expedited, they instead have assassins kill high-profile targets before bringing in a specialized and highly-trained skin-witch, known as a skin-walker. Unlike a skin-witch, once a skin-walker has animated the face of a dead humanoid in the same way, they can use magic to meld with it, their body shifting and reshaping to complete the masquerade. The skin-walker walks and talks exactly like their victim, and their face is now one that is trusted in the community. This process can be repeated ad infinitum, letting a skin-walker interrogate a face in the dark hours of the night to learn the information needed to replace them in the light of day.
