Bump in the Night

You make an unearthly, haunting sound that drains the courage from your victim. One creature of your choice within 30 ft. that can hear you must make an Intelligence saving throw. On a failed save, the target takes 2d6 psychic damage and is frightened for one minute. On a success, the target takes half as much damage and is not frightened. A frightened creature takes an additional 1d6 psychic damage and can repeat the saving throw at the start of each of its turns, ending the effect if it is successful. If you are in dim light or darkness when you cast this spell, the target has disadvantage on the original saving throw.   Flashback If you’ve already cast this spell once since the end of your last long rest, you can instead choose to cast it as a Flashback spell using a spell slot of 6th level or higher. If you do so, each creature of your choice within 30 ft. that can hear you must make an Intelligence saving throw or suffer the effects of the spell. In addition, the initial damage increases to 8d6 and the damage to frightened creatures increases to 4d6. After doing so, you can’t cast this spell again until the end of your next long rest.
