Avacynian Priest
The priests of the Church of Avacyn play many roles in the communities of Innistrad, serving as spiritual guides, medical care, and defenders of the faithful. As the Church grows weaker from the disappearance of Avacyn, even local priests have been forced to take up combat against the spirits of darkness, and some have even put it upon themselves to travel the lands of Innistrad giving aid to those who seek it.
Symbol of Hopefulness The wandering priests of Avacyn's church were once well-known for carrying staves topped with her symbol. But since the angel's disappearance, these glorified walking sticks have slowly been replaced with functional weaponry, each one still marked by the archangel's sign. With these symbols the priests of the Church of Avacyn draw power and strength to freeze the hordes of darkness in their tracks, the blessings of their beliefs holding the monsters at bay long enough for the same symbols to then draw blood or break ectoplasmic bonds, ending the threat before it could even lash out with its claws and fangs.
