huntingformation of the belt
To the inhabitants of the Belt, it matters little whether they hunt for food or to defend their territory. They travel in single file, until prey or target it found. Depending on the positioning and the density of trees and undergrowth, different movement of the formation will follow to make best use of the terrain.
Composition
Manpower
Hunting groups in the Belt seldom number more that ten members and often no more than two. But due to the often dense undergrowth and tricky terrain, manpower does not promise as big an advantage as good knowledge of the surrounding.
Weaponry
With the dense growth of the Belt, long weapons such as swords and spears are more of a hindrance than useful. Instead, it's inhabitants use short bows, stone knives and short, pointed sticks.
And whilst these sticks might sound more like a children's toy than a weapon, any well trained hunter, lost, lonely and hungry and armed with nothing else, still poses a dangerous enemy both for tespassers, game and unfriendly predators. Being easy to manufacture, light to carry and fast to hand, these short weapons can quickly become deadly in the right hands as they require little room to handle with force.

Tactics
Whilst the inhabitants of the belt can run and move fast in the forest if there is a need, they preferably surround their target and then attack from all sides. During the attack, only one member engages with the target at any given time to avoid the risk of hurting one another. Each attack is fast and short anf immediately followed by the next attacker from another direction. This way, the target cannot focus on one attacker and is repeatedly taken by suprise, keeping it from charging its own attack.
Training
In the forests of the Belt, every member of a clan learns to hunt, as the survival of the whole depends on regular hunting success. And as there is little difference between hunting for food and to fight of intruders, all skills are learned on a daily basis as part of growing up.
