They are decorated with paper, fabric, plants, charms, cords and everything else one desires to add.

Depending on the traditions a Manok either is a book, a scroll, loose letters stored in a box or folder or really anything one can think of, maybe it's a giant poster for some or a simple notepad.

They are treated with the utmost respect, even if it's the Manok of a rival or enemy, a Manok no only contails secrets and deeply personal thoughts and stories but also a magical shield. Which means if someone even a friend looks into a Manok unallowed they will be facing Ajex who will take away the book and give it back to it's rightful owner and those who took it will be judged by their actions.

When a person dies, the magical shield fade and Ajax will no longer protect the Manok, so humans came up with many ideas to keep their book safe after theri life has ended. There are giant libaries who contain Manoks, many familys keep their ancestors Manoks in a locked shelf.
However the soul of the owner will always stay inside the book for as long as the book exists, which is why they ar ebeing protected after the death, by using the Manok the soul can communicate with the living through writing in the books leftover pages. It's also possible to add new pages to continue talking to the dead owner in case the book is filled.
