Notos
Notos is built upon a great plateau overlooking the red pyramids with multi layered plateaus surrounding the main city, where the different tribes reside. The architecture of Notos is very tribal, using large tents and sparse clay buildings as the main form of abode.
3 major tribes live within Notos, the Gnoll Desert Fang, The Rhino-kin Jagged tusk, and the Jackalope Fleet-Foot. The gnoll tribe maintains control over the main plaza, which serves as a neutral area for all clans and holds the city's market and business center. The Jagged Tusk clan live up on the high peak, reclused from the other clans. Finally, the Fleet-Foot tribe lives on a plateau adjacent to the main plaza. Their homes make up the northern shanty-towns, and is a known haunt for thieves.
The tribune who watches over the town is Regulus the Gnollifier, named for his great deeds in battle. In his time spent in the Gnolli infantry he carved through many of Khrysoar's enemies, and earned his place as one of the Sultan's most trusted generals.
The red pyramids are the last stop on the Shorik-Kou elves pilgrimage, and for that very reason the people of Notos have kept a fairly good relationship with them. It has become a relationship built on distance, but all the same it has kept the peace between the two. Many beastfolk children rush to the plateau's edge on the day of the elves arrival to see the mystics of old return to their shrines.
