Nutragen

Founding

  Nutragen was formed in 2580 as part of the Moreland Family group of companies. Launched shortly before the main bulk of companies to stress test the process of company formation ahead ahead of the other group companies, that along with HCP would provide industry, jobs and support to the colonization of Rygar.   Nutragen Launched Kelp0, a strain of Super-Kelp, in 2580 as its first exclusive product to a somewhat flat reaction, though profits were noted as solid.    As a Moreland Family company it is expected to uphold certain moral and ethical standards, along with a commitment to hiring and training from the world a contract is located on where possible.

Notable Events and Contracts

  2580 - News outlets reported that HCP and Nutragen lobbied extensively for contracts outside of Republic borders. Representatives and lobbyists on behalf of the two corporations made multiple trips to the Gannid Commonwealth and the Bl'Hud Primacy. 2585 - The flagship product Kelp0 was relaunched in 2585 and to better reviews and drove solid revenues for the company.   Nutragen were granted rights to grow and produce food on Rygar.   2590 - Nutragen faced tough competition from Big Hoss and Sacred Grove, but managed to make profit and grow during the peroid.   2595 - Nutragen along with the other Moreland Corporations took part in the colonisation of First Light, providing the first industry and jobs for the planet.   Participated in the "Worlds Fair" on New Carthage, from just outside the capital city of New Rhodes.   The fair, designed to showcase innovation and to serve as a reminder of the "critical role that the hansa plays within the Republic" saw booths, displays, huge events and give aways of all sorts by the gathered corporations.   Many top CEOs also made appearances at the fair which was free to enter and saw hundreds of millions of adjusted dollars worth of freebies given away.   The exhibitions also were a chance for workers to look for new jobs, with recruiters there from all the major corporations.   Sevoy Panikkar, CEO of Empyreal Entertainment and the principal organizer of the fair, spoke of the value that the Hansa adds to the Republic and that "we understand that people have concerns but it's not quite the way that we are sometimes portrayed. The Hansa provides jobs, quality produts and services and underpins the economy of the Republic. We're very proud to offer this fair as a chance to show what we do and the posirives of our relationship".   CBI along with the other Moreland Corporations took part in the colonisation of First Light, providing the first industry and jobs for the planet.   2610 - Nutragen saw 30% growth between 2595 and 2610 through expansion into new markets and strong population growth in the Rygar market.
